His works are like puzzles that seem easy to solve at first glance, but are in fact formidable and difficult to solve to any degree, Surrealism and humor are exquisitely placed. The always calm SAKU turns to us with a mischievous smile on his face. Shall I show you how it’s done?” It is almost as if you can hear his voice softly in your ear.
▶︎ The opening party will be held on the first day of the exhibition, and the artist will be in the gallery.

“Secret Garden” In my life so far, I have spent time with various “gardens. In the spring, butterflies and pheasants would fly in, In early summer, frogs flew in, and a neighbor’s cat would stop by on its way for a walk and stare at me. In the “garden,” someone from the family would be with us. It could be my parents, grandfather, or wife. The casual conversations we had with them, The peaceful time we spent together, Even after time has passed, the scenery and atmosphere of the “garden” come back to me vividly. Many memories are precious treasures given to me by irreplaceable people and nature. The “garden” may be a secret place that connects me to the outside world. I tried to capture a piece of such memories in my paintings. Welcome to the Secret Garden.

As graphic/book/editorial designers, we incorporated what we edited into printed materials under the slogan of “editing a journey”. The fact that we were able to composite our job and hobby in this form further motivated us to continue traveling and learning about the world we have yet to see. We hope that visitors to the exhibition will be able to experience a little of the atmosphere of our travels.

The woman with somewhat languid eyes against the pop colors was born from her own experience of suffering from narcolepsy, a sleep disorder, at one time and accepting it as her personality. We hope you will enjoy imagining what the expressionless woman looks like and what she is thinking in the pop colors and nature.

From a very young age, I wanted to be an astroscientist. I wanted to feel closer to the universe, this continuation of the sky. When I heard that meteorites from outer space contain the same ingredients that are found in our bodies, my own body seemed to shine so brightly. There is a NASA spacecraft called “Saiki” that was scheduled to be launched in 2022. (The launch is currently postponed.) I couldn’t help but feel a fatal shock at the prospect of the probe Psyche (Psyche in English) being sent to the rare asteroid Psyche, which is mostly made of metal. A probe with my name on it would travel through space. Toward a rare asteroid. I decided to create my own “connection to the universe” by collecting “meteorites,” which I had been drawing as a series for some time. Meteorites are objects that come from outer space. A universe that you can hold in your hand. Asteroid Saiki. What kind of planet is it?
